Kindness Remains Plot:

Lin Xiaoman, a young cardiologist, was transferred to an old-town community health center after offending her department director—she insisted on using affordable, effective treatments for a poor patient instead of the director’s “high-end” plan. Thinking it was a “punishment,” she encounters an elderly widow hiding her coronary heart disease, a left-behind child afraid to see a doctor due to parental divorce, and Chen Mo, a community police officer who resented her over a past misunderstanding. Amid misunderstandings and trivial doctor-patient conflicts, Lin始终 holds onto the most authentic “compassionate heart” of a doctor: searching through medicine cabinets late at night for affordable drugs for the widow, teaching first aid to the child while waiting for their overtime mom, and even “negotiating” with the director to get free physical exams for Chen’s grandma. Just as she thinks she’ll stay in the community forever, a former patient arrives at the hospital with a pennant, and the director finally admits: the transfer was meant to make her rediscover the original intention of being a doctor.
