Though Belt Loosens, No Regret Plot:

Su Wan is the heir to "Fuyuelou," a time-honored pastry shop. Her grandfather’s last wish was for her to retrieve the lost recipe of "Yuegui Crisp," the signature pastry that once made Fuyuelou famous in the capital. To recreate the taste, she tests hundreds of batches daily—her wrists swell from kneading dough, and she discards all failed attempts. After three months, she’s so thin her old qipao hangs loose, but she never gives up. Until Gu Shen, a man in a suit, bursts in and slams her freshly made Yuegui Crisp on the counter: "This tastes exactly like my mom’s!" It turns out Gu’s mother was her grandfather’s apprentice, who left 20 years ago over a recipe dispute. Now he’s here to "settle accounts," but when he sees Su’s burnt hands and the old photo of her grandfather on the wall, his eyes redden—his mother’s last words, "Bring back Fuyuelou’s taste," were the same as Su’s persistence.
