Wedding Candidate Mix-Up
Wedding Candidate Mix-Up Plot:
Retired teacher Zhou Xiufen is determined to find a "perfect daughter-in-law" for her son Lin Chuan. She secretly reaches out to Su Xiaotang, Lin Chuan's childhood friend—whom she deems the "gentle and sensible type." But Lin Chuan has already been dating Xia Xiaoju, a lively vet, for half a year. To hide their relationship, he asks Xia Xiaoju to fake a breakup. However, Xia Xiaoju accidentally befriends Su Xiaotang and discovers Su already has a boyfriend. Even more chaotic: Zhou Xiufen catches Xia Xiaoju crying in Lin Chuan's arms during the "breakup act," thinking she's driven away the "good daughter-in-law." It's not until Su Xiaotang shows up with her boyfriend that all misunderstandings are cleared up. Gradually, Zhou Xiufen realizes Xia Xiaoju's straightforwardness and kindness are a better fit for her son than her "ideal type."
